Mission Briefing
October 31st may be the greatest holiday on the calendar, but the Dudes aren't waiting until Halloween night to celebrate.
We're heading back to Cedar Point HalloWeekends for another adults-only evening of roller coasters, haunted houses, fog machines, and grown men voluntarily paying to have people jump out of dark corners at them.
Most of the time, we visit Cedar Point with our families, following the kids from ride to ride, holding bags, buying snacks, and generally serving as the financial support system for everyone else's fun.
Not tonight.
Tonight, the Dudes get to be the kids.
No elaborate schedule. No mandatory marching orders. Just a group of friends wandering around Cedar Point after dark, riding whatever looks good and seeing how many haunted attractions we can survive.

You Know the Spot
We've done this enough times that the meeting location has practically become a Dudes landmark.

Meet at the Cedar Point main entrance at 6:00 PM.
We'll gather the troops, sort out tickets and passes, and head into the park together.
If you're running late, no worries. Find us inside once you arrive.
Tonight's Game Plan
There is no official itinerary, but there are definitely a few things on the Dudes' Halloween hit list.
- 🎢 Ride some roller coasters after dark
- 👻 Explore the haunted houses and scare zones
- 🎃 Wander through the fog and Halloween decorations
- 🍔 Put our available food passes to good use
- 😂 Watch at least one Dude get startled by something obvious
- 🌭 Finish with the traditional corn-dog extravaganza
The exact order will depend on lines, crowds, and which Dude suddenly decides he's brave enough to lead the group into the next haunted house.
Into the Fog
The Dudes will be making their way through as many of Cedar Point's included haunted attractions as time and courage allow.
Our target list includes:

- 🩸 Slaughterhouse
- 🎪 Fearground Freak Show
- 🏚️ The Haunting of Eerie Estate
- 🌽 CornStalkers 2.0
Attraction availability and operating schedules are subject to Cedar Point's plans that evening.
Between haunted houses, we'll hit the coasters, wander through the scare zones, and enjoy the park at its Halloween best.
Don't Buy a Ticket Yet!
Before anybody starts purchasing admission, hold off until we meet at the gate.
Several Dudes have Cedar Point season passes, and a couple have higher-tier passes that may include guest benefits.
We want to see how many people we can get through the gates using those benefits first.
If additional tickets are needed, we'll figure out the costs as a group.
No sense paying full price before we know what options we have.
The Food Situation
A few Dudes also have meal plans or food benefits associated with their passes.
We'll see what we have available and coordinate food throughout the evening.
Nobody needs to arrive with a fully developed dining strategy.
Although, knowing this group, somebody probably already has one.
Just remember to save a little room. The grand finale is non-negotiable.
The Corn Dog Extravaganza
Every great Dudes adventure needs a proper ending.
And for HalloWeekends, that means one thing:
Happy Friar.
At some point toward the end of the evening, we'll make our traditional stop for corn dogs and whatever other deep-fried masterpieces seem like a good idea.
Is this the healthiest possible way to conclude a night of walking, screaming, and riding roller coasters?
Absolutely not.
Is it tradition? Absolutely.
Come When You Can
We know it's a Thursday night. Work happens. Family schedules happen. Kids need rides, dinner, and bedtimes.
If you can make the 6:00 PM meetup, great.
If you can't arrive until later, that's perfectly fine too.
Just get to the park when you can, reach out to the group, and we'll figure out where to meet up.
The important thing is getting the Dudes together for another October tradition.
